How to Choose the Right Baby Hat Size

If your baby has already been born, measure the head circumference with a soft measuring tape. Place it around the widest part of the head — above the eyebrows and around the back of the head.

If you are choosing a hat before birth, for a maternity hospital bag or a coming-home outfit, 40 cm is usually the most practical newborn size.

Choose the hat size according to your baby’s head circumference:
